A ceremony of wedding agreement (which is religiously and officially formal) of both brides and groom, held on the district’s “Kantor Urusan Agama” (office of religious matters) or in the woman’s house, witnessed by wali (male relative legally responsible for a marriage) of both sides.
The bridegroom gives some money (or other articles) as the mahar (brideprice) in accordance with the wedding nature of Islam.
